The Kogi State Commissioner For Environment and Ecological Management, Engr Joseph Oluwasegun, has felicitated with the Christian Community in the State as they celebrate Christmas to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Engr. Joseph in a statement made available to Newsmen urged Nigerians to reflect on the essence of Christmas and make positive impacts on the lives of the people that would be sustained beyond the festive period.
The Commissioner also urged Nigerians to extend love to one another, particularly the less privileged, displaced persons, other vulnerable groups, and those in humanitarian crisis, pointing out that the essence of Christmas is love.
Engr. Joseph congratulated the people of Yagba West LGA for witnessing yet another Christmas, assured that he will always make the welfare of the area his priority now and at all times.
He also admonished the Christian fold to use the opportunity of Christmas to pray for the peace, unity and development of Kogi State, Gov. Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and all those at the helm of leadership.
Engr. Joseph congratulated Gov. Ododo for witnessing yet another Christmas, described the achievements of the present administration as one borne out of love for the people.
“Christmas is a time of the year to reflect on the essence of the celebration which is the birth of Jesus Christ; to show love, and affection to one another. It is also a time to rededicate our commitment to Kogi State in the coming year.
“It is equally important that we live and show acts of kindness that would make long lasting positive impacts even beyond the Christmas season.
“I wish us all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance”, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun stated.
