TIPU Lokoja Commends Hon Fanwo for giving Takete-Ide Community a Health Centre

The Lokoja Branch of the Takete-Ide Progressive Union has commended Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications for considering it expedient to donate a Health Centre to the community, saying the move will ease the hardship of the people.

The Union gave the commendation while some of its Branch Executives paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner in his Office in Lokoja.
Speaking on behalf of the entourage, Mr. Oluwole Adeoye said the gesture of Fanwo will be remembered by the people of the Community.

His words: “After our last meeting in Lokoja on Sunday 18th April, 2021, it was unanimously resolved by members that a delegation should be sent to thank you for what you have done for our community.

“We thank you for remembering the community and for deciding to give quality healthcare delivery to the people.

“It is our belief that you will continue to do your best to improve the living standards of our people”.

Responding, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo thanked the delegation and TIPU Lokoja Branch for their show of solidarity and love for Takete Ide community.

“Loving Takete Ide is a natural thing. All of us that drank from the streams of that community are known to be loyal to her.

“It is our responsibility to provide the basic needs of livelihood for our people. That is the only reason we are here and we can’t fail to deliver on that”.

He urged the Takete-Ide Progressive Union to ensure pace and unity in the town, saying there can never be development where there is no unity.

“We have a strong bond called Takete-Ide. We must continue to make that bond stronger. Peace is inevitable if we are desirous of moving our community forward”, he said, promising to continue to contribute to the peace, unity and development of the community.
