The Executive Chairman of Yagba East Local Government Council, Hon Abdulrazaq Ijagbemi Asiru in his proactive approach to deliver good governance to the masses and clear understanding of the deplorable Economic situation in the country and her federating units, has taken a clear cut step to look inward to mitigate the consequential negative effect of the economic reality on the council and the people.
Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello had charged the Council bosses during their swearing-in to wake up against the bad Economic situation that has rendered resources from the FAAC grossly inadequate to respond to the myriad of challenges and developmental needs of the state and local council, hence, he advised they must put on their thinking caps on how to internally generate revenue as a council and create Economic value as a way to compliment the state effort. The era of ceremonial council chairman and a non effective local Government administration is lone gone and obsolete.
To expediently respond to the charge from the Governor and the economic relics that has depleted the receipt of the state from Federal Account Allocation Committee(FAAC), illustrious and enterprising minded sons of the Local Government, who has stellar reputation in the business world and clear understanding of the people’s yearning, has been enlisted to act in an advisory role in the quest to improve the local economy and investment drive of the LGA.
Hon Abdulrazaq Ijagbemi after far reaching consultations and beam of search light on sons of the land that has made mark in both individual and private business organisation vis-a-vis the topnotch experience and informed advice they will bring in to leverage on the comparative advantages of the local Government for economic boom, had invited these eminent figures to serve in the committe.

Committee and the members are as follows.

– HRH, Oba, Lamidi Ayeni ( The Elejuku of Ejuku)

– Hon Abidemi Adeyemi
– Hon Oladele Adeyemo
– Hon Dare Joshua
– Venerable Ayo Moses- Secretary
The terms of reference of the committee in their crucial task of improving the local economy and investment drive of the LGA includes the followings:
-To devise modalities to develop Local Economy
– To create economic competitiveness and general development of the LGA
– To create and accelerate a sustainable growth of the LGA
– To Improve the internally generated revenue of the LGA
– To ensure food security
– Any other activities towards achieving the above.
With these men of character and competence in the committee, we believe strongly that in no distant time there will be a paradigm shift in the economic status of the local Government.
