Osimhen Didn’t Undermine NFF, Finidi’s Integrity – CECF
…Urges Osimhen to remain focus to eschew unnecessary gimmicks of enemies to distract him

The Concerned Edo Citizens Forum has reacted to recent publication trending on social media over the imbroglio between Nigeria sticker, Victor Osimhen, Coach Finidi George and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In a press statement signed by the
Convener of the Forum, Comrade Roy Oribhabor, and made available to newsmen stated that there was no where the Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen undermined the integrity of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ,none Coach Finidi George and urged Osimhen as a distinguished son of Edo State, to remain focus to eschew unnecessary gimmicks of enemies to distract him.
According to Comrade Oribhabor, “Victor Osimhen was properly nurtured and cultured hence, we are proud of him. Osimhen didn’t insult none undermine the integrity of Coach Finidi George who is also a legend.
The Forum strongly appeal to Finidi George not to misunderstand Osimhen, but to see him as his son with energy to better football in Nigeria.
The Forum noted: “Osimhen is pained the disappointing outcome of the qualifying series like every Nigerians who hitherto celebrate Super Eagles. As concerned citizens, we are pained also, to have such low points after three matches.
“As a matter of fact, Victor Osimhen is our son in whom, we are proud of therefore, call on all Nigerians to demonstrate serious understanding and not to distract our son (Victor Osimhen) because he is young man with so much energy as professional, we have critically looked at the social media space he didn’t abuse Finidi George and NFF.
“Therefore, we hereby call on NFF and Nigerians to consider his commitment and sacrifices to the growth of football development in Nigeria.
“Osimhen didn’t undermine the system because he grow through the ranks to become great footballer of the cynosure of all eyes across the globe.
“As concerned citizens, we wish to state clearly that Victor Osimhen was well brought up according to our culture and traditions which includes respect, discipline and hardworking hence, we are solidly behind our son, on no account must some persons try to discreet him and his efforts to become the world best. This is not the time for distraction and any plan of banishment but time to show love and support. For those who think otherwise, we appeal for understanding and love to make Nigeria football great.”
