The Executive Chairman, Ovia North East Local Government Council, Honourable Scott Ogbemudia has felicitated with the Christian faithfuls both at home and the Diaspora for witnessing this year’s Christmas celebration.
Hon. Ogbemudia enjoined Christians to imbibe the spirit of love, patience and perseverance which are the virtues of Jesus Christ, adding that, doing so would guarantee peace and security in Ovia North-East in particular, Edo state in general and Nigeria at large.
He enjoined Christians at this moment, to abhor violence, lawlessness, wantonness, daylight robbery and kidnapping as witnessed across the country most recently, stressing that Nigeria is a great country in Africa.
While calling for a stop to all divisive tendencies across the country, the council Boss urged all Nigerians and the youths in particular, to embrace peaceful co-existence in the country.
The Executive Chairman, who described the youth as the hope and future of the nation advised them further to deepen democracy and not dampen it.
“For me, it is with more democracy that we can overcome our challenges. The challenges of nationhood that we face, are surmountable if we work through the democratic process, he advised.
