Alhaji Salisu while presenting jerseys to the newly inaugurated official of SWAN in the State in his office in Lafia, stated that the gesture was aimed at  strengthening the mutual relationship between the two associations.

“We will not leave anyone out in our efforts to promote football in our state, so SWAN, as a critical stakeholder, we will continue to work together for the good of the game,” he said.

Receiving the items,  Comrade Smah George, the newly inaugurated SWAN chairman in the State expressed gratitude  to the State FA leadership for the thoughtful gesture.

He said:”Today marked a very great day for us, as we were here just less than a week ago.

“You assured us of a robust relationship and  I am not surprised by your kind gesture, and I want to use this medium to reiterate our commitment to the SWAN/FA relationship.

“You have shown that, being a member of SWAN yourself, we will not be left behind in any of the FA activities.”

“In the history of SWAN in Nasarawa State, we had not been able to get such support from anyone, but you gave us your full support. We want to thank you for demonstrating a high level of trust in us.”

The State SWAN Chairman, Comrade George alongside Umar Mohammed (SWAN Vice Chairman), Esther Akaa (SWAN Treasurer), among other members of the association were in attendance when the jerseys were presented.
