Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has received the devastating news of the demise of the Mother of the Provost, Kogi State College of Education Technical, Kabba, Mrs Victoria Olusola Jagboro,
Madam Felicia Omorubu Olumodeji who died a few days ago at the ripe age of 100 years.
The Speaker, who consoled and sympathized with the Provost and family over the demise of their mother, noted that it is painful to lose a loved one, especially the vessel through which God brought her to the world, stressing that it is a bitter pill to swallow.
He said though he did not have the opportunity to meet and interact with her while alive but the testimonies about her show that she was a virtuous woman who trained her children in the way of the Lord, no wonder one of her offsprings is now a Provost of a reputable institution of learning in the state.
He urged the family to take solace in the words of God which says there is time for everything in life, noting that every mortal at one time or the other, will surely die when the time comes.
It is on this note that the Speaker on behalf of his family, Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, members of the 7th Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly wish to commiserate with the entire family over the death of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Madam Felicia Omorubu Olumodeji
May her soul rest in peace
