Leaders of Thought in Kogi east has warned that the Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) may risk losing its status in the zone if the party fails to reinstate the ousted former Zonal Chairman of the APC, Comrade Ahmed Attah in the forthcoming State Congress in few days from now.
The group said that the significance of removing someone without due process and not being reinstated when necessary will be very dangerous for the party moving forward for better and stressing that even if the party fields anyone else, it would be disastrous as the party has been dwindling backwards since his removal in an undemocratic manner.
While calling for the recall of the ousted zonal chairman Comrade Attah to save the party, the group held that:
“We should swallow the bitter pill and recall Comrade Attah back as our Eastern Zonal Chairman”
Among them in the agitation are leaders of the party across 9 nine local government area that make up the zone who unanimously make their resolves.
Already 89% of the entire zone wish Comrade Attah be ‘Reinstated’.
In the topeline, while most dismiss the possibility, a significant chunk believe Leaders of Thought’s theory that he’ll be back in office.
