KOGI CP RECEIVES PARTICIPANTS OF EXECUTIVE INTELLIGENCE MANAGEMENT COURDE (EIMC) 14 OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR SECURITY STUDIES (NISS)


 

 

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Ede Ayuba Ekpeji psc (+) today 23rd April, 2021, played host to the Participants of Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 14 of the National Institute for Security Studies ( NISS ) as part of their Study tour to Kogi State.

The Commissioner of Police while briefing the Course participants on the security situation in the State commended the heads of security agencies for exhibiting high level of synergy in the fight against crime and criminality. He further stated that, on several occasions the heads of security agencies embarked on joint operations across the State. While adding that the level of peace the State is enjoying now is as a result of the commitment and dedication exhibited by the heads of security agencies.

The Commissioner further stated that, when he took over leadership of Kogi Command, there was little upsurged of criminal activities across the State. But with the level of commitment, dedication and passion displayed by the personnel of the Command and the support and encouragement received from the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhjai Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, crime rate has reduced drastically.

He wish the Course participants the very best in their studies while urges them to make use of the knowledge they acquired during their studies at the Institute to add values and provide solutions to the current security challenges facing the country.

On his part the leader of the delegation Mr DE Egbeji, a deputy course Director commended the Commissioner of Police for the good work he is doing in Kogi State. He further stated that Kogi State used to be in the news, but now, the State is one of the safest State in Nigeria and that is attributed to the commitment by the Police and other security agencies in the State.

Finally, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mary Obasi on behalf of the course participants thank the Commissioner of Police and his management team for the warm reception given to them and prayed for continue peace to Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
