Kogi at 33: Nigerian Post Newspaper Names Omoluabi As Special Guest of Honour for Public Lecture
Chairman of Kogi Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has been named as one of the Special Guest of Honour at the upcoming 33rd anniversary since the creation of Kogi State.
The event is being spearheaded by the Nigeria Post Newspaper.
In a letter of invitation signed by the publisher and editor of the newspaper, Abu Michael, the event will also feature conferment of awards on deserving individuals.
“I write on behalf of the Nigerian Post Newspaper, requesting for your support and to also serve as Special Guest at the forthcoming annual public lecture series to mark 33 Years of Kogi State Creation”, a letter sighted by our correspondent reads in part.
The lecture will have as the theme: “Sustaining Kogi’s Unbroken Unity – Prospects & Possibilities, This House Must Not Fall”.
The Nigerian Post, is Nigeria’s fastest, reputable, widely read growing print and online newspaper.
The 33rd anniversary of Kogi will also coincide with the newspaper’s annual lecture and Gold Prize Award.
The event is scheduled to take place at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja on August 26, 2024 at 10:00am.
The 2024 edition “aims to celebrate and critically examine the creation of Kogi State 33 years after, discussing unity as cardinal to future prospects and possibilities”, the organisers said.
Other guests expected at the event include, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State, the Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar and more.
Speakers at the event will include; Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba, Prof. John Alabi, Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector , Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and Ambassador Hamza Aliyu, CEO, Connected Development.
This year’s event will feature a special presentation by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi, On “Towards Grassroots Development: Gov. Ododo’s Example, So Far, So Good.”
