Kogi Assembly Commission Appoints Adebayo Aka Deputy Clerk


The Kogi Assembly Service Commission has appointed Mr. Adebayo Micheal Aka as its new Deputy Clerk.

The announcement was contained in the appointment letter presented by the Speaker of House, Rt. Hon. Kolawole Matthew on Thursday in Lokoja.

The appointment letter placed Mr. Aka in charge of Administration and General Duties.

Until his appointment, Aka was the Assembly’s Director, Information and Communication

The appointment followed the retirement of the former incumbent, Martin’s Enimola who retired after 35 years in service.

While congratulating Aka, the Speaker wished him God’s grace and guidance to succeed.

Reacting, Aka thanked Gov. Yahaya Bello, speaker and members of the House for finding him worthy of the position.

He pledged to put in his best to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Adebayo Micheal Aka has been in the journalism profession in the last 18 years. He was former Production Editor of The Graphic newspaper before he was transferred to the State Assembly when there was vacancy for the Director Information position.
