The Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office For Disability Affairs and Chieftain of Kogi APC, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael has described the attempt by Sen. Smart Adeyemi to head to the Appeal Court to challenge the Primary election victory of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as an exercise in futility.
Recalled that efforts by Sen. Adeyemi seeking a Federal High Court Abuja to nullify the APC Governorship primary failed as the Court described the petition as criminal.
Barr. Dare described Sen. Adeyemi as a lone ranger in his exercise in futility, said the Okun people have resolved to support Ododo a decision has left the former Senator in political wilderness.
Barr. Dare notes that the political future of Okun people is more secured with Ododo, expressed optimism that power would return to the West after Ododo.
The Executive Secretary explained that the people of Kogi West have resolved to give their block support to Ododo in the forthcoming November governorship election.
The APC Chieftain called on Sen. Adeyemi to align with the people of Kogi West in their support for Alhaji Ododo, pointing out that the only way the former Senator can remain relevant is for him to join the yearnings and aspirations of Okun people, urged him to key in the ongoing movement before it is too late.
Barr. Dare in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, following the information that the former Kogi West Senator was heading for the Appeal Court, described the APC Kogi Governorship primary as one that was adjudged by electoral observers as the most freest, credible primary conducted in the State by the All Progressives Congress.
