Ganaja Community elects Officials, Seeks Synergy with govt to woo development

The newly elected chairman of the Victory community, Ganaja in Ajaokuta local government area, kogi state, comrade John Agada has called for synergy with government to woo development to the area.

Agada who made the call shortly after his election held at Redeem Church of Christ playground over the weekend pointed out that there is no village or community that can survive without government amenities and infrastructural development.

“I appreciate our elders, our former chairman and everyone that worked with him during his time. May God almighty reward you all for your contributions towards the development of the community.”

Comrade Agada therefore assured the people of the area of his commitment to contribute his quota towards the development of the community and urged members of the Exco to focused on achieving the set target of good governance and peoples oriented programmes.

On security, the Chairman noted that it will be all inclusive fight against criminality by the local vigilante, landlords and tenants stressing the need for a solid security architecture towards cubbing criminal activities in the area.

He appreciated members of the community for the opportunity given them to serve stressing the commitment of the executive members to pilot the affairs of the area without fear or favour and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.

In his remarks, the secretary, Comrade Umar Angulu called for collective collaboration, constructive criticism, observations and juicy ideas that will restore the glory of the community adding
“Responsibility is a burden to those who aptly stand to throw the dice as many were presence and few were chosen doesn’t make the few a champions.”

In high esteem, “we the newly elected executive members of the above named community, wish to profoundly express our unreserved gratitude first, to the ‘ Most High God’ for his timely intervention in our lives, and for making the election a reality in the anal of victory Community.”

“I appreciate the efforts of those tireless portem executive under the distinguish Chairmanship of Mr, Vincent Abakpa , the light committee foot soldiers headed by our own retired Director MR, Nuhu Baba whom I also served, and our relentless Zonal chairmen for their spiritual synergy worthy of emulation.”

Among those elected are: Mr. John agada -Chairman
Mallam Sheidu Bello : Vice chairman, comrade Umar Yunusa Angulu Secretary General, Eric Musa – Finacial secretary, Mr.Usman Ocholi was elected treasurer while the post of Public relations officer went to Ademu Achimugu respectively.
