The Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

In a letter of promotion to the highest rank in the Engineering Profession, the Society described him as one of the finest in the Engineering Profession.

Engr. Farouk the Society disclosed aside his unassuming, professional in the Engineering Profession, was aptly described as a goal getter anytime, any day.

The Society disclosed that Engr. Yahaya Mohammed Farouk is intelligent and commands camaraderie.

A Professional and an administrator per excellence, has proven to be a leader worth following. Without mincing words, Engr. Farouk the Society desclosed has shown at all times that he has the ability to deliver the goods when under difficult and challenging circumstances.

Based on his distinguished and untainted personality, Engr. Farouk a graduate of the prestigious Federal University, Oye, Ekiti State has deployed his power of eloquence, discipline and administrative sagacity to reposition the Engineering Profession as a positive reference.

Trained as a Civil Engineer, from a humble beginning, with hardwork, Engr. Farouk possesses the attributes of all great men with modesty.

A graduate from Federal Polytechnic, Bida 1995-1998 and the revered Government Science College, Kagara Niger State 1979-1984,
Ma’ahadi LSMB School, Lokoja 1973-1979, is a crystal symbol that has remained relentless, will driven, focused and ever climbing the ladder of success, according to the Nigerian Society of Engineers has proven to all that progression is a function of both will power and intense faith in divine faith in the direction for human endeavor.

Engr. Farouk holds a Masters In Engineering, Civil ENG’RG (MENG -Civil)
A Registered Civil Engineer (COREN) since 2014, Engr. Farouk holds a Post Graduate Diploma (CIVIL ENG’RG) since the year 2011, holds a Higher National Diploma (CIVIL ENG’RG STRUCTURES) in 1998 did his National Diploma (Building Technology) in 1991.

Engr. Farouk is one with the will power to be inner driven, has always come out unscathed because the end results has always been that lives indelible legacies.

That Engr. Farouk has been able to write his name in gold thus projecting himself as a dependable, reliable and responsible professional and politician who views politics and opportunities to serve as opportunities for public service, is transparent and meticulous in all positions he has held.

Engr. Farouk hobbies includes reading, writing, loves watching football, is outspoken and is always looking for ways to better the society.

He equally supervised the construction of access road and Culvert To Obajana Truck Terminal 2010,
Rehabilitation of Maigari’s Palace, Lokoja 2010, Construction Of 1-storey 20-rooms Office Complex For Lokoja LGEA
At Lga Secretariat, Lokoja 2009.

He also supervised the Construction Of Truck Terminal, OBAJANA 2009

An Engineer of repute amongst his contemporaries, Engr. Farouk also supervised the Construction of ‘HSF’PROJECTS at Agbaja Cottage Hospital and Gerinya
Basic Health Centre for ‘KASAF’ and IHSAN PROX1MA Companies in 1998.

Engr. Farouk also designed and supervised the construction of a 10 Room Bungalow, For Alh. Shuaibu D.
Ndakwo, at Lokongoma, Lokoja in 1997, Construction of Government House Gates, Lokoja 1992, Supervised the construction of two nos Housing Units, Lokongoma Phase II, Lokoja 1992, Designed and supervised the Construction Of Rimi Bridge Lokoja 1992, Construction Of A Two Storey Regional Office For Allied Bank, Kaduna as part of his . Industrial Work Experience.

Engr. Farouk served his fatherland under the National Youth Service Scheme in the Ministry of Works
Jigawa State, DUTSE in 1998, is happily married, with the union blessed with Children, is the Gabi Sayyadi of Eggan(Daaniya)
