The Ajaokuta APC Federal Constituency House of Representatives Flagbearer, Barr. Abdulraheem Sanni has urged Nigerians, particularly people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency to jettison their differences and push for unity as Muslims mark the celebration of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
In a statement he personally signed, Barr. Sanni also congratulated Muslims in Nigerians, particularly those from Kogi State who are currently in Saudi Arabia to participate in the rites of the Hajj.
He also thanked the pilgrims for praying for the peace and Unity of the country and Kogi State in particular, urged them to pray for the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello and the peace of the State.
‘‘Indeed, your fervent and sincere prayers, which cut across religion, political and ethnic divide, has energised me to re-dedicate myself to the task of building a great Nigeria and a better Ajaokuta Federal Constituency if elected.
‘‘As we celebrate, I sincerely believe that our nation can make rapid progress on all fronts if we re-enact the exemplary virtues, typified by the holy Prophet through his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, generosity and obedience to Allah’s command and constituted authority.
‘‘We must learn to see ourselves as brothers and sisters from the same heritage, who must come to terms with the African proverb that ‘‘a family tie is like a tree, it can bend but it cannot break.’’
Permit me to use this auspicious occasion to congratulate our Muslim brothers for witnessing yet another eid el Kabir celebration in good health. It is my fervent prayers and desires that our tomorrow through our working collectively would be better.
May I on this occasion reiterate my love and resolve to the people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency and assure that what ever would be required to propagate peace and unity, be rest assured of my support if by your support and prayers I’m elected to the National Assembly.
Once again, congratulations and Happy 2022 Eid El Kabir celebration.
