The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has sent congratulatory messages to the Muslim Faithfuls on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Eld-el-fitr celebration which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In the message of felicitation released through his Media Assistant, Asiwaju, in his words said “Greetings to all our Muslim brothers and sisters, it is with great joy and delight that I celebrate with you the end of the Holy month of ramadan; one which has seen us all in the last 30days give ourselves to ibadah through our fast and total abstinence from other wordly pleasures.
As we mark the end of the holy month of ramadan, it marks a new beginning for Muslims, and I enjoin us all to use this highly significant occasion to remind ourselves the important values our faith is built and the lessons that comes with spiritual exercise.
The Honourable Commissioner urged faithfuls to continually pray for Governor Yahaya Bello as as he pilot the affairs of the state sustainably, saying under His Excellency, we have enjoyed a more robust integration between religion and ethnic differences adding that such could be replicated across the Nation with his leadership come 2023.
As we move closer to the general elections in Nigeria, we must use the lessons learnt and deep spiritual gain of eld el Fitr to continue to pray for leaders who will unite the country and guarantee security of citizens, like the essential GYB has done in Kogi state and country at large.
Once again my warm felicitation to the good people of Kogi state. May this auspicious day bless us abundantly, strengthen the bond of peace, unity and brotherhood across the state.
