The Committee of Past Chairmen (CPC) of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Kogi State, has dissociated itself concerning the publications on the crisis rocking the state Chapter of the association.

The NMA Kogi CPC, made their position known in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Dr. Aimila David; Secretary, Dr. Zubair Kabiru, and made available to journalists on Friday in Lokoja.

Some faceless individuals and groups has made publication for and against the parties involved in the crisis.

In the statement, the CPC dissociated itself from the purported publication, saying the committee did not sanction any online or print publications related to this crisis.

“We, the Committee of Past Chairmen (CPC) of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Kogi State, hereby issue this disclaimer to address recent online publications concerning the ongoing crisis in our Chapter.

“We do not support or sanction any online or print publications related to the crisis.

“We do not approve or contribute to any publications that mention our committee or members.

“Our focus is on reconciling aggrieved members and promoting peace within the Chapter.

“Any publications mentioning our Committee or members are not from us, but rather the imagination of the writer.

“All our processes are internal and closed, without external involvement.

“By this notice, we distance ourselves from all publications on this matter. The public is hereby informed to disregard any such publications,” the statement said.
