Barely a month after explosion happened in Kabba, the headquarters of Kabba/Bunu Local Governent Area of kogi state, during which some people died and others injured, another one has occurred in the area.
Sources in the area told The Reporters that the explosion occurred on Sunday night at Obafemi bar in a place called Oke padi, adding that no casualty was recorded.
Though the cause of the incident and the nature of the explosion remained sketchy, as at the time of this report, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Police Command in Kogi State, SP William Ovye Aya however confirmed the story.
Aya, who spoke with our Correspondent in a telephone interview in Lokoja Sunday night, said that the Commissioner of Police in the state,CP Edward Egbuka, had dispatched anti-bomb squad of the command to the area,to ascertain the actual cause of the incident.
The Reporters recalls that Kabba town witnessed the first explosion on May at a beer parlour within the vicinity of a beer parlour at Lewu Junction.
The unfortunate incident generated heated argument as to weather it was a bomb explosion or gas cylinder explosion, with the police sticking to gas cylinder explosion while families of the victim insisting that it was a bomb explosion.
