The Kogi State Chairman, Master Bakers Association, Mr. Bamidele Adeniyi Gabriel has commended the State Government for the new policy to promote indigenous Bread Manufacturers.
Mr. Bamidele while speaking with the Nigerianpost, debunked Report in a section of the online media saying the Association is not happy with the policy, commended the state government for the courage and boldness in arriving at the policy.
The Chairman explained that indigenous bakers have complained bitterly about the activities of external bakers who
pack their bread to the State in trucks and sell without paying anything to the State Government, thus affecting there productivity and sales.
The new policy he added would improve on the Poor sales by indigenous bakers, leading to job creation, commended the state government for the new policy.
According to him, ” Our indigenous bakers have complained bitterly about the activities of external bakers who pack to the State substandard product.
He said the strategy would help in protecting Indigenous bakers and also protect the economy from the activities of bakers outside the State, said the state Master Bakers Association is supportive of the policy.
