The Bassa Peoples Democratic Party Progressives Forum has appealed to the stakeholders of the party to zone its next Chairmanship to Bassa Local Government Area.
The group made the position known in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
The statement which was signed by the coordinator, AbuSalman Muhammad and Secretary, Yakubu B. Imam explained that the plea became necessary in view of the need to give the PDP in Bassa a sense of belonging.
The group noted that stakeholders, particularly in Kogi East should consider their brothers from Bassa kingdom who have never tasted such position in the history of the state.
The Forum passionately urged the stakeholders to see the appeal as very deserving considering the facts on ground as well as the contribution of the area to the growth of the party.
In another development, the forum has stressed the need to consider Honourable Muhammed Sani, a PDP stalwart from Bassa for the position.
The Bassa PDP Progressives Forum said the position and interest on the candidate was borne out his desire to transform the PDP to the admiration of all.
It assured that Honourable Muhammed Sani will not disappoint the party in view of his pedigree, both administratively and otherwise.
The Bassa PDP Progressives Forum comprises of committed men, women and youths who have shown passion for the rapid growth and development of the party.
