AGRICULTURE IS THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD – Ajibola

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Young Agro Service limited and President Ifad Victor Youth Farmers, Ogun State, Ajibola Johnson has urged Youths in Nigeria to get themselves involved fully and actively in the Nation’s Agricultural Sector as the sector according to him owns the future of the World.

Ajibola Johnson disclosed this while Speaking as a panellist, at the the National Youth Agricultural Summit 2024, with a theme, ” Empowering Next Generation of Farmers”, a Summit organised by a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) the Initiative for Reviving and Restoring Agriculture in Nigeria, held at the Mariam Babangida Centre for Women Development, Central Business District, Garki Abuja, recently.

Speaking on the topic,” Bursting Mythes and Transforming Perceptions”, said there was no alternative to Agriculture as it Stands today, Ajibola said the Sector remains the most lucrative and accommodating, adding that the Sector has the Capacity to make an individual to become self reliant and also an employer of labour within a Short period of hard work and unflinching Commitments.

Continuing, the Chief Executive Officer noted that his Status as a Chief Executive today was as a result of the lucrativeness, Viability, momentary and financial benefits attached to the Agricultural Sector.he said though his foray into the Sector initially was due to the Unavailability of job, without the awareness of it viability, but today he has become an employer of labour with many graduates who worked in his firm, he said.

He urged the youth to henceforth stop waisting their precious time Seeking white Collar jobs, and get involved in to Agro Business where lies live transforming Opportunities for Millions.

 

Meanwhile, the Organizers of the National Youth Agricultural Summit 2024, that’s the Initiative For the Reviving And Restoring Agriculture in Nigeria, also Presented an Award to Ajibola Johnson, Which according to them was in recognition of his resourcefulness in discussing exhaustively a topic ” Bursting Myths and Transforming Perceptions”, as a panellists and also his efforts in building the Capacity of Youth in Agro-Business.

Ajibola applauded the Organizers of the Summit for the recognition accorded him, saying that the Award was a mark of honour and also a morale booster for him to do more towards ensuring that the youth are equip with the basis rudiments and Skills required to become Successful in Agro Business.

He further pointed out that, there Couldn’t have been a better time for the Summit than now, Considering the rate of Unemployment, Underemployment,food insecurity, general insecurity and economic hardship been witnessed in the Country at the moment, describing the Summit as apt and timely as it would help to draw the attention of the Nation’s teaming youth to participate actively in Agriculture, he said.
