The Founder and Chairman, Osaseyi Foundation, Richard Osaseyi says henceforth, no student of Okoro Gbede High School would pay school fees as he has taken over the responsibilities from the parents.
Mr. Osaseyi made the disclosure when he paid the school fees of all the 185 students, as well as the JAMB fees for all the final year students.
Osaseyi Foundation made the disclosure at the presentation of the school fees for this term at Okoro Gbede High School, Okoro Gbede, says his desire is for the school to produce best universal students that can compete with students anywhere in the world.
The CEO Osaseyi Foundation promised to provide a bus for the school as a top priority to help convey students, described his gesture as a way of giving back to the society.
Osaseyi, a former student of Okoro Gbede High School advised the students to take there studies with the seriousness it deserves, described education as the bedrock of sustainable development.
The Humanitarianist expressed appreciation with the graduates of the school, said he is proud of there exploits, reason why he has taken it upon himself to henceforth take care of the school fees of the students.
While pointing out that he has an understanding of the pain of parents go through, particularly in this time, assured that no students from Okoro Gbede High School will henceforth pay school fees again, congratulated the students for the opportunity.
He disclosed that with efforts to pay for the school fees and also to take care of JAMB fee, the students have no excuse to excel in there exams.
The CEO thanked the teachers of the school for all there sacrifices in grooming the students to become better citizens, urged them not to relent in doing good as the reward would be long lasting.
The excited parents, teachers and students, in there separate remarks expressed appreciation with the kind gestures of Osaseyi Foundation for his unrelenting efforts in the payment of school fees and other community development efforts, wished him well in all of his endeavors.
Highlights of the event was the presentation of exercise books to the school, through the students by Osaseyi Foundation to the Principal of the School.
Similarly, the Federation of Women Lawyers, the State Chairperson, Barr. Lilian Okolo and Mr. John, an ICT expert made presentation on child rights act, violence against persons prohibition law and cybercrime.
