

Ahead of next month kogi State governirship election, the remnant members of the dying oppositions People’s Democratic party, Social Democratic party and other parties have turncoat their former parties to embrace the governing party, All Progressives Congress in Odu ward one , Odu ward two and Ajiolo Ajikpome community.
Auditor General of Kogi State and a Chieftain of the party in Dekina local government area, Alh. Yakubu Yusuf Okala,who received the new comers into the fold of All Progressives Congress at his ancestral country home,Ajiolo Ajikpome, Dekina local government area expressed gratitude for the deep thought of the decampees for their U-turn to the party.
He urged them to be committed to the success of Alhaji Ahmed Ododo and his runningmate, Joel Oyibo in the next month kogi State governorship election as the system is large enough to accommodate everyone.
YY Okala explained that the victory of the party and its flagbearers at the poll is sacrosanct as it will allowed continuity in governance, entrenched democracy and consolidation on the gargantuan achievements of the current administration under the stewardship of Governor Yahaya Bello in the state.
The Auditor General of Kogi State advised the People to shunned ethnic politics being promoted by few individuals asserted that those calling for ‘Igala Agenda ” should be resisted at all front if the senatorial district is to remain in the main stream of the state and national political system.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors,
the chairman of kogi east Defectors,Alh. Atai Container, explained that they decisions for embracing the All Progressives Congress was due to the good works of the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the supportive impact of their illustrious son , Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala for bringing development to their areas
He assured that everything humanly possible would be done to deliver all the polling units and wards to All Progressives Congress during the governorship election as a show of faithfulness.
Okala also visited two of his relatives homes to condoled them for losing their love family members.
At Ajiolo Ajikpome community, he visited late Oma Omeje Onu- akpa family to sympathised with them over the death of their sister.
