The Executive Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Pius Gbemisola Kolawole today, Thursday 20th Flags off the Free Medical/Health outreach in Omi, Omi/Ogga/Odo-Ara ward.
The Medical outreach which was tagged “Health is Wealth” is organized to provide free and qualitative medical and health services to the people at the grassroots. It is a program designed to provide diagnostic, treatment and distribution of prescribed drugs to people with health challenges.
At the flagg-off ceremony, The Chairman expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his magnanimity and love for the people.
Hon. Pius also specially thanked the State government delegation led by Mr. Solomon Agada of the Ministry of Lokal Government, who came for the flagg-off.
Performing the Flagg-off ceremony, Mr. Agada commended Hon. Pius for the the quality of mobilization and Preparation for the program.
He enjoined beneficiaries to cooperate with health workers in the course of the exercise.
Hon. Pius said : “This Medical outreach is the first of its kind in the history of Kogi State. This is because the Governor attached high premium to the health of the people”
“You can imagine what dimension this initiative could take should Yahaya Bello becomes the President of Nigeria . This calls for our total supports and prayers for His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello to move from GYB to PYB”.
“I can confidently assure you that with Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the President, Nigeria will be in safe hand”.
The Council boss equally thanked the good people of Yagba West for their support and standing by his administration always. He urged the people with various health challenges to come out and take advantage of the expertise the noble program provides in attending to their health needs.
In attendance at the flagg-off are: Hon. (Mrs) Eunice Balogun, the Vice- Chairman, Chief John Olutayo Kayode, Secretary to the Local government, Supervisors and special assistants and some members of staff.
Also in attendance are members of the legislative council, traditional rulers and party stalwarts
