World Bank Business Grant : Group Calls On Governor Obaseki To Approve Funds

A Socio Cultural Group, the EDO NATIONAL VOICE (ENV) has called on Governor Godwin Obaseki to immediately act within his power to approve funds meant for the 2nd phase(2nd trance) of the World Bank Business Grant tagged; Edo NG-CARES.

The group in a release signed by comrade Iyamu Osaro Culture-President,and Comrade Osaghae Collins Amadin-Secretary General ,said Governor Obaseki should urgently approve the World Bank Business Grant to enable Edojob and sister Agencies commence the process leading to the disbursement of the phase 2 of Edo NG-CARES.

According to them, “as stakeholders and voice of the people, we the leadership and entire members of EDO NATIONAL VOICE(ENV) plead with the governor to as a matter of urgency look into the issue, so as to approve World Bank Business Grant to enable Edojob and sister Agencies commence the process leading to the disbursement of the phase 2 of Edo NG-CARES.”

“we want to commend Mr, Governor, Godwin Obaseki for given Edojob and other sister Agencies the necessary support towards the disbursement of the 1st phase(1st trance) even though the funds was delayed before it was approved by Mr. Governor which eventually was disbursed to over 489 beneficiaries.

“We appeal to the Governor To urgently approve the World Bank Business Grant to enable Edojob and sister Agencies commence the process leading to the disbursement of the phase 2 of Edo NG-CARES.” They concluded.
