The State Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union Comrade Amari Gabriel has reiterated his determination to partner with relevant bodies in the country to Improve on the welfare of members.
Comrade Amari Stated this while speaking on his vision at moving the Union to Greater Heights in the country.
The State Chairman said his priorities is improving the living conditions of Medical and Health Workers Union in the state and the country beyond noting that the hazard health Personels go through remains high.
According to him the wages of medical and health workers members is know longer self sustaining and appealed to the federal and state government to increase their wages to befit current realities.
Comrade Amari Gabriel Commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the increament of Doctors and Nurses salaries pointing out that if the same gesture affect both health workers at local government level it is capable of boosting their morals.
According to him henceforth quack medical health practitioners will be checked and called on them to desist stressing that anyone caught will face the law.
The Comrade Chairman maintained that the health of the people is imperative adding that health is wealth.
Amari thanked Kogi State Government for the ongoing rehabilitation of the state specialist hospital and other tertiary health institution in the state and pledge support of members to the present Administration to move the state to greater heights.
The State Chairman Also Called on members of the Union to sustain their prayers for the quick return of the mother of the Chief of Staff to the Governor Pharmacist Jamiu Asuku noting that the members of the Union is standing with him at this moment of trials.
He called on local Government Chairmen in the state to handle the salary payment of health workers seriously noting that Personels of primary health workers at the rural areas will create enabling environment to handle first aid health case’s at that level.
According to him henceforth indencipline of members will not be tolerated pointing out that with unity of purpose the union will achieve much success this year..
