The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the recently concluded APC presidential primaries in which former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Ahmad Bola Tinubu emerged as a winner. Tinubu contested the primary election against more than 20 aspirants but he came out with a resounding victory after getting more than fifty percent of the total votes casted.
Reacting to the development in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagbe, PDP has stated that the former Lagos State Governor will soon realise that Nigeria is not one of his acquired estate as he assumed before. The opposition party described Tinubu’s acceptance speech as one that lacks the ingredients needed to demonstrate readiness and capacity.
PDP revealed that the National Convention organised by APC will be the last bus stop for Tinubu because he will woefully fail in the 2023 general elections. The party added that despite the hardship inflicted on Nigerians by the APC administration, Tinubu refuse to show a sign of remorse or empathy to victims of violence in different parts of the country.
“Asiwaju will soon realize that Nigeria is not one of his acquired estates or fiefdoms and that the Nigerian people are not his political string-puppets and retinue of lackies, from whom he bought the APC Presidential ticket.” The party added.
