Start-Rite Schools Abuja Triumphs at Yoshi-Dubai Primary School Football Tournament

 

In a thrilling display of skill, teamwork, and determination, Start-Rite Schools, Abuja, on Saturday, 14th September, 2024, emerged victorious at the Yoshi-UAE Primary School Football Tournament, held at the Astro Turf Field, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. The tournament, which brought together eight primary schools from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was marked by intense competition, fun, and excitement, with Start-Rite Schools taking centre stage.

The final match saw Start-Rite Schools secure a dominant 5-0 win against Raberto School. Leading the charge was Mshelia Bilal, who emerged as the tournament’s highest goal scorer, netting an impressive 10 goals throughout the tournament. His performance, alongside the flawless team effort, ensured that Start-Rite Schools went unbeaten in all five of their matches.

In addition to the team’s success, Coach Nelson Imonikhe of Start-Rite Schools was named Coach of the Tournament, a testament to his guidance and the school’s commitment to excellence in sports.

This remarkable achievement echoes the vision of Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, OFR, CON, SAN, Chairman of the Start-Rite Schools Advisory Board. According to him, Start-Rite Schools remains dedicated to providing students with well-rounded learning experiences, fostering not only academic prowess but also athletic excellence.
