Six years ago, Your Excellency was sworn in as the Executive Governor of our dear State.
Six years ago, a divine statement was made, that God is God, the only God!
Six years ago, a new chapter was opened in the annals of our history as a people .
Six years down the line, Your Excellency has proven to be the locus classicus in good leadership.
Thank you for what you have done for our state and Nigeria.
It was an emotional day for me as I was privileged and honoured to be part of this historic journey from day. 1, Thank you for the confidence Your Excellency.
It is a day of stock taking. Today, we are more United as a people. Today, our schools are world class. Today, we are building medical legacies for our nation. Today, our roads are better. Today, we are more secured. Today, we have retained our position in the global map of cashew and cassava production. Today, we boast of the best Rice Mill in Nigeria which is also the second largest Rice Mill in Norther Nigeria. Today, Graphic Newspapers can boast of the best building owned by a state-owned newspaper in Nigeria. Today, we have a Revenue House to be proud of. Today, our Finance Team keep winning awards for the state. Today, our environment is cleaner and saner. Today, our water production is steady and better. Today, our youth and women are empowered and given a space to excel. Today, our Cultural Troupe keep winning laurels. Today, Kogi is home to the Gold Processing Plant for North Central.
Kogi is better.
That is our pride even as you keep doing more.
And on February 8, Your Excellency will be unveiling the Kogi Open Governance and Accountability System, the most audacious move by any State Government in Nigeria to open up governance, give power to the populace, display transparency and accountability, and most importantly, prove that the power of the people is bigger than the people in power!
Our Radio is now digital. Our Motor Park is now functioning and KEDA is sprawling!
You are the leader we can fly with. A boss that is a servant, a thoroughbred Administrator and an exemplary leader of repute.
As we march forward to 2023, we are trusting God to do what only God can do! We have no doubt in Him to repeat his favours.
It is the next level. Congratulations to a benefactor and a great man. May God keep you and continue to uphold you sir.
