The Council Chairman, Kabba Bunu LGA, Barr Zacchaeus Dare Michael has cautioned against the blackmail against Sen. Sunday Karimi, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, disclosed that Kabba Bunu LGA has in it custody all the rice allotted the area and are in good condition.
Barr. Dare in a statement said the people of Kabba Bunu LGA are appreciative of the kind gesture of Sen. Karimi, the third in a row by the Senator, urged the Senator not to allow his morale to be dampened by the work of mischief makers.
Barr. Dare called on the people to separate mischief from the fact, pointing out that this is the third time in a row that the Senator is distributing rice. He said Kabba Bunu LGA received a truck load that now have all the items in good condition.
The Chairman mentioned that it was normal for a large consignment of commodity to have some that have famented, blamed the supplier and not the good intentions of the Senator.
The Council Chairman said as the chief security officer of the local Government he needs to separate the lies from the reality, cautioned party men playing mischievous politics over the good intention of a worthy representative.
“Yes we discovered that some of the rice got famented and we drew the attention of the Senator to it.
“He immediately stopped the distribution and directed the supplier to replace the few noticed product.
“As I speak with you, we in Kabba Bunu have no issues with bad rice as is being made to look. Some persons are being mischievous. You cannot use the Senator’s good intention for his people to be part of the celebration of the festive period to malign him or destroy his image”.
The Kabba Bunu Council Chairman cautioned APC members who are engaged in using the social media to create tension over the matter as well as caution against dragging the administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo into unnecessary controversy.
