Senator Natasha mourns Ex-Uni Abuja VC, Prof. Nuhu Yaqub
Lawmaker representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has mourned
the death of former Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Professor Nuhu Yaqub.
In a condolence message by the lawmaker, she described the late academic icon as a distinguished academic, administrator, and patriotic Nigerian.
“With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, I join the entire nation in mourning the demise of a distinguished academic, administrator, and patriotic Nigerian, Professor Nuhu Yaqub.
“Professor Yaqub was a beacon of excellence, a man whose unwavering commitment to education and national development remains an indelible legacy. As a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja and a scholar of repute, he inspired countless individuals with his intellectual prowess, integrity, and devotion to the pursuit of knowledge.
“His passing is not only a monumental loss to the academic community but also to Nigeria as a whole. He exemplified the values of service, dedication, and selflessness, leaving behind a legacy that will guide generations to come.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Kogi Central, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Professor Yaqub, his colleagues, and all who were privileged to know him. May God Almighty grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
