Sen. Karimi condoles Obaro of Kabba over passing of his wife, Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi.
The Senator, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Sunday Karimi has expressed his deepest condolences to the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman of the Okun Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, over the passing to glory of his beloved wife, Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi.
In a condolence message issued to Newsmen, Sen. Karimi described the loss to Kogi West as profound, not only to the royal family but also the Owe race and the entire Okun Kingdom.
The Senator expressed his deepest condolences to the Obaro of Kabba and the people of Okun Kingdom during this difficult time.
Sen. Karimi prayed for the eternal repose of Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi, described her as a pillar of strength and a symbol of grace whose legacy will forever be remembered.
“In this moment of grief. I pray that Almighty God grants the Obaro of Kabba, the royal family, and the entire Okun Kingdom the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement read.
Sen. Karimi further emphasized the significant role Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi played in supporting her husband’s leadership and her contributions to the cultural and communal development of the Okun people, noted that her passing on to glory has left a void that will be too difficult to fill across the kingdom.
Sen. Karimi urged the people of Okun Kingdom to take solace in the enduring legacy of Olori Maria Ige Owoniyi and to uphold the values she championed during her lifetime.
