Recall Saga: PDP Youth Alliance for Good Governance Was Hired to Distract the PDP – State Youth Leader Disowns the Group and Warns Against Future Occurrences
The attention of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been drawn to a post circulating on social media platforms by one Mr. Godwin Itopa, who claims to be the convener of the PDP Youth Alliance for Good Governance. In his post, he has backed the unconstitutionalp recall of the hardworking and performing Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a senator who has earned the prestigious title of “The Best Senator of the Year.”
The PDP State Youth Leader, Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki, has strongly condemned the actions of this group and distanced himself from them. He further warned that anyone attempting to use the PDP platform for personal gain or attention will be held accountable. He assured that such individuals will face legal consequences and be charged in court.
The PDP urges the good people of Kogi Central and all PDP stalwarts to stand firm in support of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and resist any unconstitutional attempts to recall the senator.
The party also wishes to enlighten the spokesperson for the group, Itopa David (also known as History), that the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the Senate is unconstitutional, and the suspension is currently under challenge before a competent court of law.
In conclusion, the recall process of Senator Natasha will not be successful, as the fraudulent, bankrolled group has failed to meet the legal requirements for recalling a performing senator.
The PDP also urges the voters of Kogi Central to remain resolute in their unwavering support for their senator, who has proven to be the best they have ever had. The party encourages the people to be ready for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to review the unconstitutional recall process.
