A PDP Stalwart from Owan West Local Government Area, Barr Frank O.D. Unuigboje’ political journey to represent Owan West constituency at the Edo state House of Assembly successfully kicked off yesterday with the purchase of PDP expression of interest and nomination forms.
Hon Barr Frank Unuigboje confounded sceptics and critics by being the first to procure the PDP Expression of Interest and Nomination forms respectively.
That singular bold step, therefore, strengthens the ambition of Hon Barr Unuigboje’s resolve to represent Owan West constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.
Barr Unuigboje is an alumnus of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, law faculty .
During his days as a Law student, he was a Justice of Supreme Court of both Ekpoma and Abraka campuses of the students Union Government, SUG,.
He is also armed with a Diploma in International Relations at the University of Port Harcourt amongst others.
Interestingly, Hon Barr Unuigboje is not a new comer to Owan West politics, having aspired as the chairman of the council and a House of Assembly member.
Pundits alluded that political intrigues combined to deny him the Owan West chairmanship and House of Assembly slots twice even though he was obviously the most qualified and favoured candidate at both instances.
He has remained a constitent member of his party, PDP despite some injustices meted out to him.
This is the ample time to favour and recompense him for his steadfastness with the party.
The grassroot politician has served the State as well as the Federal Government in several capacities, which many see as a good background for a lawmaker.
Of recent, Owan West proved to be a PDP stronghold during the last Governor ship election when it emerged as the only Local Government Area in Edo North where the PDP recorded landslide victory.
All eyes is, therefore, on Barr Frank Dix Unuigboje to see the extent to which he will be able to effectively deploy his rising political clout as well as experience to nick the Owan PDP ticket and finally lay to rest the ghost of his last political sojourn…. Continue reading
