Oroke Day: OCDA Urge Kogi Government to Light up Oroke Community and Rehabilitate Oroke Roads.
Oroke Community Development Association under the Chairmanship of Elder S. T. Michael in Conjunction with the Oroke Traditional Council under the Leadership of HRH. Oba James Olu Alaofin the Oloroke of Oroke land, seize the occasion of the Oroke Day Celebration to urge the Kogi State Government and H.E. Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to light up the community and rehabilitate raods.
Oroke Amuro is a Community blessed with fertile land and other mineral resources, which almost everyone in the community practices farming, but it’s so difficult to market her farm produces due to lack of accessible road network.
The OCDA President, Elder S. T. Michael plead with the Government officials that attended the occasion to present the community pressing demands to the People’s and Working Governor of Kogi State.
In Response, the Local Government Executive Chairman, Chief Ademola Bello Destiny promise the Community to Prioritize the well-being of his people and also give the Oroke road a Special attention, that his Government will try everything in his power to make sure the road is motorable.
The Member Representing Mopamuro State Constitution at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Olawumi Jacobs promise to consult appropriate quarters and ministry in order to Rehabilitate the Community Electricity.
The entire community was agog as they Celebrate the first Edition of Oroke Day.
