The Organized Labour in Kogi State have lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for appointing Mrs. Hannah Onyinoyi Odiyo as the new Head of Civil Service.
Speaking with the State Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC), Comrade Onuh Edoka and the Chairman of Trade Union Congress, (TUC), Comrade Ranti Ojo described the appointment of Mrs Odiyo as a victory for Kogi workers.
The labour leaders while congratulating Odiyo for her new appointment promised to cooperate and work harmoniously with her to achieve success in her new office.
The Chairman of the NLC Particularly said workers in the State look forward to the new HoS implementing reforms that would improve on the welfare of workers, promised her all the necessary support and cooperation of workers to succeed in her new assignment.
According to the Labour Leaders, Governor Bello has done the needful for the state, promised the head of service good working relationship in the course of her assignment.
It could be recalled that Kogi State Governor, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Thursday approved the appointment of Mrs. Hannah Onyinoyi Odiyo as the Head of Civil Service.
Her appointment was contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr (Mrs) Folashade Arike Ayoade.
Until her appointment, Mrs. Odiyo was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Kogi State.
According to the statement, Governor Bello thanked the outgoing Head of Civil Service, Mrs Deborah Ogunmola for her forthrightness and contributions to the Civil Service Reforms in the State while in Office.
He also congratulated the New Head of Civil Service and wished her well in her new assignment.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
