The National Director of Administration of the ruling All Progress Congress, (APC), Abubakar Suleiman, has said that the ongoing revalidation and registration of new members of the party will give Nigerians a true national party that will be owned by the people.
Suleiman who stated this weekend Lokoja, while Fielding questions from journalist also assured that no one can hijack the process, adding that the excersise was aimed at returning the party to the people, where no single individual will lay claim.
“The excersise has already recorded huge successes. We want to have a semblance of what you have in South Africa where the ANC belongs to the people and not a single individual
“On the fears that the process would be hijacked by anyone is not possible. The cards has security features that can not be manipulated. We are going to have a data base that will contain the names members and their details. I can assure you that it will not be hijacked.
On the security situation in the country, Suleiman, said the problem was occasioned by long years of neglect by past leaders, assuring that the security agents are on top of the game and would soon bring the situation under control.
“In the past, our people took so many things for granted. What we are seeing today is the fallout of long years of neglect. But I want to assure you that the security agents are doing their best and will soon bring the situation under control.
He said president Muhammadu Buhari is doing his best to bequeath to Nigerians a stable economy, secured environment and a corrupt free society that would be the pride of all.
