The favoured aspirant for the People’s Democratic Party primaries, Osaro Onaiwu(Jr), has declared his interest to Contest for the Oredo federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Following the successes recorded during his lengthy consultations with various stakeholders, especially the youths and women groups in Oredo, most of them reportedly leading agitations for a change of guard, from the old to new order.

Close associates of the hugely popular politician whose profile continues to soar especially among the youths in the area said the series of meetings and consultations held with various groups provided the budding politician with a deep insight into the mindset of voters, adding it also helped facilitate his decision to finally settle for the lower chamber as a “stepping stone” toward redressing identified problems.
Banking heavily on the family’s political pedigree as well as the enormous support his ambition has so far generated, Osaro (Jr) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure his victory in the PDP primaries.
Given the excitement, his entry into the race has so far elicited among diverse segments of the Oredo populace, reports that the camps of the other aspirants are jittery and gripped by the fear of the unknown, are now a common refrain.
With a cleverly crafted campaign theme: Oredo First, Osaro(Jr) is soldering on with his big plans to build a big consensus, hopeful of managing the huge expectations thrust on his fragile shoulders.
Drawing inspiration from his rich Benin ancestry, where a lot of premium is placed on culture and the respect of the elderly, irrespective of social standings, young Osaro is certainly not one of those who build their castles in the air instead, he sets his focus on the core issues facing the people such as the promotion of culture, tourism, the rights of the Oredo child, youths and women development.
The culture and tourism agenda will involve the reawakening of all cultural and tourism sites in oredo and beyond.
Also, ensuring a deeply involvement in the process of leveraging Edo’s rich heritage to boost the growth of the
economy.
On his uncommon passion for the rights of the child, he said it essentially derives from experiences elsewhere, adding no country that has made significant progress paying lip service to the rights of the child, noting it behoves on everyone of us to create and nurture an assured future for our children.
Various support groups have since sprung up in Oredo, considered to be the largest council area in the state, to promote his ambition.
His supporters said they are sure of his victory in the PDP primaries,as they carry his message from house to house.
