Okeri Sons and Daughters Gather in Solidarity to Honor Engr. Olusegun Joseph at the Official Flag-Off of APC Yagba West Council Election Campaigns
The vibrant and tight-knit community of Okeri in Yagba West Local Government Area recently came together to celebrate their esteemed son, Engr. Olusegun Joseph, the Kogi State Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Ecological Management. The occasion marked the official flag-off of the APC Yagba West Council election campaigns, held in Engr. Joseph’s hometown, Igbaruku Okeri Kingdom.
The event saw an impressive turnout, as citizens of all ages flocked to honor their beloved son and to demonstrate their unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). The warmth and enthusiasm exhibited by Okeri sons and daughters were palpable, showcasing the profound admiration and respect the community holds for Engr. Olusegun Joseph.
The flag-off event was not merely a political gathering; it transformed into a celebration of unity, camaraderie, and grassroots support for Engr. Joseph and the APC leadership. It was evident that he is cherished by his constituents, akin to a prophet honored in his homeland.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Olusegun, Hon. Kayode John (Ejee), Hon. Tunji Aro, Hon. Aderonke Aro (Former Member, KGHA), Hon. Tade Adeyemi, Hon. Femi Irojah, Hon. Kuli (sitting House of Assembly Member), Hon. Olu Moses, Hon. Emmanuel Sentu, and Hon. Timi Joseph, among others. Youth leaders, women’s forums from all 14 wards, and numerous party stalwarts also graced the occasion.
The event took a remarkable turn as many prominent political figures from opposing parties chose to defect and join the ruling All Progressives Congress, driven by the proven track record and significant achievements of Kogi State’s Chief Servant, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
What began as a flag-off evolved into a political carnival, showcasing a coalition of leaders committed to fostering development and supporting His Excellency in realizing the dreams of the Confluence State.
As the Chief Host, Engr. Olusegun Joseph expressed his gratitude, he acknowledged His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for recognizing his qualifications for the esteemed appointment.
