Ohinoyi of Ebira land harps on unity in Kogi, visit JNI, sues for inter religious harmony.
The Ohinoyi of Ebira land, HRM Alhaji Dr Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje has emphasized the need for a more united Kogi State to attract meaningful development.
The Royal father who doubles as the Vice President General of JNI in Kogi State made the call at the JNI Secretariat, Lokoja.
The Monarch, who is also the Coordinator, North Central traditional rulers Council, Vice President, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, described unity as the bedrock of progress.
While eulogizing the relative peace that prevails in Kogi State over the years, the Monarch also commended the past and present Kogi State State Governors for their consistent efforts to maintain this peace and harmony.
The Royal father tasks on Unity of Muslims on the importance of brotherhood in Islam, irrespective of culture, said Islam should be the driving force for unity and togetherness.
According to him, “Let us stand united as one Muslim Ummah, embracing diversity and extending love to all, regardless of their beliefs and creed. Our faith is a path to be walked with humility and reverence, not a cause for division”
He called on JNI to continue to pray for the sustained peace and prosperity of Kogi State and Nigeria.
“Let us be beacon of hope and tolerance in a world beset by conflict. Together, let us demonstrate the true essence of our faith – a beacon of light and love that transcends boundaries. In our unity, we find strength, and in our diversity, we find our greatest asset” he stated.
In his remarks at the visit, The Kogi State Chairman, Jama’atu NasriI Islam, Amb. Usman Bello, described the visit of the Traditional Ruler as unique and first of its kind.
He congratulated the Ohinoyi on his appointment as the Vice President General of JNI in the State, described the appointment as well deserved in view of the leadership style of the Royal father.
He commended the Ohinoyi for bringing everybody together since his assumption to the throne of his forefathers, pleaded with the Ohinoyi to continue in the stead he has started that has brought peace to the State
Also in his remarks, the Secretary JNI Kogi State, Alhaji Isah Adeboye, said the preaching of peace and propagation of Islam has been the watchwords of the State Chapter of JNI.
In an admonition by Alh. Abubilat Yahaya, Commissioner with Hajj Commission, sues on Muslim unity and togetherness.
Highlights of the visit were prayers for Nigeria and Kogi State, with the presentation of a holy Quran to the Traditional Ruler.
