This is to notify the General Public and the Members of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in Ofu Local Government Area to disregard the purported outcome of a private meeting between the State Party Chairman Engr Sam Ohotu and some Stakeholders from Ofu LGA aimed to plead to revert the impeachment of former Chairman Engr Gabriel Itanyi.
Engr Gabriel Itanyi was duly impeached by the 2/3 majority of the Ofu Local Government PDP Executive Committee.
The 5 man Committee set up by the State Chairman indicted and affirmed the impeachment which was equally ratified by the State Working Committee.
It’s imperative at this Juncture, to state unequivocally that politics is Local and The State or National has no power to upturn the decision of the Local Government Executive Committee that has duly Complied with the Constitution of the party as Amended in 2017.
Therefore Engr Gabriel Itanyi remains impeached while expecting the state to implement her resolution in the due shortest time.
