Oba Ibeun Declares
6th Kogi BEBM Exhibition Open, Receives Awards As Shelter Ambassador, Others
The Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Muyiwa Ibeun, has commissioned the 6th Kogi Built Environment Building Materials (BEBM) Exhibition in Lokoja, Kogi State on Tuesday.
The Kogi BEBM exhibition Executive Director, Engineer Oladipo Makakese Bayode, earlier introduced Oba Ibeun as the Chairman of the three day exhibition programme, which will end on 12th of December.
The programme, which had the presence of various professionals from the construction, housing, and engineering sectors, also had Federal Mortgage Bank (FMB), Nigeria Orientation Agency (NOA) amongst other Federal parstatals and agencies which attended.
The Anchor, a veteran journalist and publisher, Mr. Micheal Abu, having cited a brief profile of Oba Ibeun as a philanthropist and stakeholder in infrastructural development of Nigeria, invited him for awards.
The Elulu of Mopa, Oba Ibeun, was decorated as an Ambassador for Housing by the FMB; Ambassador for Civic Orientation by the NOA; congratulatory and Ambassador for Shelter by the BEBM.
Oba Ibeun, during his speech, acknowledged the awards and appreciated the various institutions that recognised him, promised to work with BEBM’s theme which is; Local Building Materials: Affordable Strategy for Housing in Nigeria and the Path to Economic Rejuvenation.
The Elulu added that he will entrench his tentacles to help achieve the mandates of the BEBM for Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
The crowd yelled at the event and unanimously testified, stating that Oba Ibeun had specially given the Kogi State Traditional Council a special face lift, national, and international recognition since his emergence.
Present at the event were also security parastatals, other traditional rulers, Kogi State Government presence, Jakura Marble Industry, West Africa Ceramics Limited, Dangote Cement Factory, Mangal Cement and others.
