The Governor of Kogi State,Alhaji Yahaya Bello has performed credibly well so much that the Nigerian Defense Magazine dedicates several pages of their recent publication to X-ray the laudable achievements of his administration in the security sector of the State.
The leader of the delegation to the state, Captain Abdullahi Hashib of the Nigerian Defense Headquarters presented copies of the magazine to the Governor who was represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo.
Presenting the magazines to the Governor, Captain Hashib expressed delight over the Governor’s achievements despite the strategic nature of the state which is bordered by nine other States, affirming that,it is worthy of commendation. Hence the Defense Headquarters carried out an in-depth analysis on Kogi State Security Architecture in the new edition of the highly informative magazine.
Receiving the publication on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Honourable Kingsley Fanwo who appreciated the Nigerian Defense Headquarters for deeming it fit to carry out an extensive analysis on Kogi State, said Governor Yahaya Bello will continue to prioritize the security of Kogi people.
He said despite the fact that Kogi has several security challenges to grapple with in the past, the Governor has to a large extent done a lot to ensure that criminal activities are curtailed.
According to him, one of the government’s strategies in ensuring this is the issue of community involvement.
“Governor Bello has ensured that he carries community members along in the security of the state and this singular act has bestowed responsibility on the people of Kogi which has helped to reduce criminality and expose hideouts of criminals.
“The Governor has also ensured that criminals do no longer find the act lucrative compared to the era before his administration.
“Kogi has also deployed technology in tracking criminals and their hideouts to a large extent”.
He appreciates the Defense Headquarters for the kind gestures and wished them continued victory in the fight against insurgency in the country.
