New MD/CEO Graphics Newspapers, Mr. Jimoh Itopa YJ, Appreciates Gov. Ododo, Information Commissioner
The new Managing Director/CEO, Graphics Newspaper, Mr. Jimoh Itopa YJ, has sent a message of appreciation to Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for his appointment.
In a statement issued to Newsmen, Mr. Itopa promised to justify his appointment, pointing out that with the outstanding achievements recorded by Gov. Ododo within his first 100 days, people at the grassroots needed to be aware of the Governor’s achievements.
Mr. Itopa described the present administration of Gov Ododo as one that is committed to bringing smiles on the faces of the people, assured that the Graphics Newspaper will serve as the needed mouthpiece in the desimination of what the present administration is doing.
He praised Gov. Ododo for prompt payment of salaries, particularly the June Salaries, paid on the 14th, assured that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that people of the State get aware of the efforts of the present administration.
Similarly, Mr. Itopa expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo for the support to serve, described the Commissioner as rare amongst his peers.
Mr. Itopa assured of taking Graphics Newspaper to another level of ensuring that the grassroots is informed of the activities of the present administration, says he looks forward to the support of the Commissioner.
Mr. Itopa was today appointed as the MD/CEO, Kogi State Publishing and Printing Company, the Graphics Newspaper.
The appointment was following the approval of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Making the presentation, the Head of Service, Mr. Elijah Evidemi, urged Mr. Itopa to justify his appointment by repositioning the State owned newspaper.
The Head of service described the media as very cardinal to reporting Government programs and policies, said the place of Graphics Newspaper cannot be overemphasized, urged the new appointee to hit the ground running.
He urged Mr. Itopa to perform beyond expectations, that will be pleasing to the present administration, urged him to turn the Graphics Newspaper around.
In a remarks, the immediate past NUJ Chairman, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh, assured that Mr. Itopa will justify his appointment, solicited support for the Graphics Newspaper.
He called for the State Government to support the Graphics Newspaper to enable it meet the objectives of information desimination at the grassroots.
In his response, the new Director General, Mr. Itopa Jimoh YJ, promised not to let down the administration, promised to justify his appointment.
He described his appointment as a home coming, having worked with the Graphics for about 12 years, thanked the management and staff of the Graphics for staying the course amidst daunting challenges of operations.
