NAKOSS PRESIDENT MOVES TO HALT STUDENT PROTEST AFTER AN ATTACK IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING

 

Comr. Jeremiah Elukpo, NAKOSS National President swiftly paid a visit to the students resident at student lodge, Bassa Village, Felele, where about 30 students of Federal University Lokoja, were robbed and brutalized.

He sympathized and empathized with the students, apologizing for the unfortunate incident. The students were informed about the steps taking by NAKOSS to inform the Vice Chancellor, the DSS and the roles being played by the Special Adviser on Youth & Student Matters to curtail the problem.

One student was stabbed on the chest, and some others sustained injuries on various parts of their body. Efforts were made to render first aid treatment to the affected students. Also, a lot of student items were stolen, ranging from phones, laptops, generators and others.

The students were ready for a violent protest to the Government House, but were urged by NAKOSS to pipe down and not take laws into their hands as the issues were being addressed.
