The National Association of Kogi State Students, NAKOSS has condoled with the families of two students who lost their lives in a ghastly accident in Felele, along the Lokoja Abuja Highway
The National President, Dr. Jeremiah Elukpo condoled with the families and NAKOSS Chapter of the Kogi State Polytechnic and Federal University Lokoja, urge the Federal and Government to look into the immediate and remote causes of the accident.
The NAKOSS President described the recent accident as one too many, lamented why lives of young innocent students would be cut short for no just cause all because they are seeking education and knowledge.
The NAKOSS President described Miss Abu Taiwo Abimbola from the Department of Laboratory Technology, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, and Miss Covenant Omolola Isaac from the Department of Geology, Federal University Lokoja as hardworking Students who lost their lives in an avoidable accident.
The President said the fatal accident involving a heavily loaded truck along Felele Road, Lokoja, Kogi State, on December 13, 2024 was one too many, called on the relevant authorities to put in measures that would stem frequent accident along the Felele end of the Lokoja Abuja road mostly used by students of the State Polytechnic and Federal University Lokoja.
The President condoled with the NAKOSS Chapter, families of the affected and the institution, prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased rest and the family the fortitude to bear the Loss.
