N72,500 Minimum Wage: Hon. Godfrey Adekoye, SSA Youths Empowerment Commends Gov. Ododo
Hon. Godfrey Adekoye, Senior Special Assistant on Youths Empowerment has commended Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for the approval of the N72,500 minimum wage for workers in the State.
Hon. Godfrey described Gov. Ododo as one that by all standards is ready to develop the State and make it compete favourably with, and surpass other States.
Hon. Godfrey praised the Governor and said he has in terms of education, security, infrastructure and human development proven to be a goal getter since assumption of office.
The SSA Youth Empowerment
made the disclosure in a statement of commendation to the Governor over his recent approval of N72,500 minimum wage to civil servants in the State.
He acknowledged the record breaking new minimum wage as announced by Gov Ododo as the highest so far in Nigeria, said by this singular feat achieved, Gov Ododo has been assured for another term.
He said the new approval for implementation which also include a 12-month suspension of all taxation elements attached to the minimum wage adjustment, he said will further enhance the take-home pay of Civil servants in the State.
Hon. Godfrey highlighted the jet-starting approach of the governor towards critical sectors development, described the approval of the N72,500 minimum wage, far above the N70,000 national minimum wage as an first scored by Gov Ododo.
The Statement described the better welfare package for civil servants in the state by Gov Ododo by the Chief Servant Chief Servant for the state workers as a feat that has silenced doubting Thomases on his intentions for the workers.
He further described the human development at all levels by Gov Ododo since his assumption of office as unprecedented, expressed satisfaction that all his steps to provide living wage and better welfare packages for workers at all levels as record breaking.
The SSA said the new minimum wage would spur Kogi workers for better performance, better living condition and optimum service delivery.
Hon. Godfrey congratulated the Kogi workers and appreciated the Chief Servant for this praiseworthy decision in Kogi State.
May God continue to strengthen our Governor to do more, concluded by saying that Gov. Ododo has proven to be the political Pride of Kogi State and North Central Nigeria.
Hon. Godfrey urged the people of the State, particularly the workers to continue to pray for the success of the present administration, pointing out that Kogi workers have never had it this good since the creation of the State.
