My administration is committed to alleviating the sufferings of Ebonyi people- Gov Nwifuru

The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has reiterated his administration commitment to finding sustainable solution to alleviating the sufferings of Ebonyians and appealed for patience and support as his peoples charter of needs policies currently being implemented in the State in line with the vision of the founding fathers shows positive sign that the State is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Governor Nwifuru stated this during the grand finale of the commemoration of the Nation’s 64th Independence anniversary and the 28th years of creation of Ebonyi State held at Governor’s office premises government house ochoudo centenary city Abakaliki.
The Governor who chronicled his achievements in all sectors of the State, commended the State’s founding fathers for their relentless efforts towards its creation and reassured his readiness in ensuring that the dreams and visions for the creation of the State are brought to fruition in his administration.
He appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his immense assistance towards the development of the State and announced that the thirty nine model schools project being embarked upon by his administration across the the three Senatorial zones of the State are nearing to completion.
The Governor further stated that his administration has award contract for the procurement of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines used for internal diagnosis of human body to further assist general hospitals across the State to meet up with the global standard, adding the era of water scarcity would soon be over in the State following his administration huge investment in the sector.
The chairman of the occasion Senator Sonni Ogbuoji maintained that the State has been blessed with visionary leaders since its creation which is evident in the consistent growth and development being witnessed by the citizenry in the all sectors.
He commended Governor Nwifuru for his numerous achievements, which he said has placed the State above board.
The former Governors of the State including Senator Sam Egwu who spoke on behalf of Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Chief Martin Elechi who spoke on behalf of Ebonyi Central and member of Federal House of representative from Ebonyi South, Chief Iduma Igariwe lauded Governor Nwifuru’s peaceful co-existence in all Communities across the State as well as his inclusive governance and respect for all Ebonyians irrespective of one’s status.
They maintained that Governor Nwifuru had taken bold steps and made great sacrifices in taking the State to its desired destinations.
The deputy chief whip of the senate and senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi prayed God to give President Tinubu the wisdom to surmount all the hurdles towards giving Nigerians a better economy everybody is yearning for and applauded Governor Francis Nwifuru giants efforts in ensuring the overall development of the State.
He used the opportunity and sympathize with the families that lost their loved ones to the recent cholera outbreak in the State and enjoined all and sundry to take all the necessary precautionary measures to curb the spread of the disease in the State.
The State commissioner for Lands and Survey Dr. Matthew Nwaobasi applauded president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governor of the state, Francis Nwifuru for combating insecurity, poverty and hardship among citizens of the state.
The commissioner noted that there is massive infrastructural development, an empowerment of citizens in the state, courtesy of their excellencies as a way to reduce economic hardship and suffering that is affecting people.
He however urged stakeholders in the state and south east at large to support the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Francis Nwifuru to ensure better governance.
Nwaobasi, also commended the rate of growth and development in the state since its creation in 1996, adding that “the growth and development in Ebonyi is progressive, and there will always be a need to celebrate this great achievement by their excellencies”.
In their separate speeches, the member representing Ezza South/ Ikwo federal constituency Comrade Chinedu Oga, the commissioner for human capital development and monitoring Mrs Ann Aligwe and her counterpart of aviation and transport technology Dr. Ngozi Obichukwu and BERWO team lead Dr. Nkechi Echiegu all poured an encomium on Governor Nwifuru and wife for ensuring rapid and unprecedented development of the State
and urged Ebonyi people to continue being supportive to the policies and programmes of the State Government at all times.
The event which featured issuance of staff of office to some traditional rulers elect across the autonomous Communities in the State, commissioning of and handing over of over twenty brand new hiase buses to Ebonyi State Transport Company(EBOTRANS) as well as commissioning and handing over of brand new land-cruser Prado jeeps to the State founding fathers, National Assembly members from the State and some principal officers of Government attracted people from all walk of life including many support groups to Governor Francis Nwifuru.
