The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi state, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA has received with sadness the news of the shocking and sudden demise of Hajiya Belkisu Sulaiman, Mother of Hon Shaba Ibrahim, member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency after a brief illness.
Asiwaju described her death as heartbreaking and a great loss not only to the Sulaiman Ibrahim family but the entire federal constituency and the state at large, saying her words of wisdom and support will be greatly missed.
He said Hajiya Belkisu Sulaiman was an epitomen of motherhood and a virtuous woman who through her commitment and hard work was able to nurture and bring up an illustrious son like the Honourable member of the National Assembly, whose impact and contribution to the society can not be overemphasised.
The Honourable Commissioner admonished the entire family of the deceased to uphold her legacy of diligence, tolerance and forthrightness, because the vacuum created by her demise will be hard to fill.
He pray that Almighty Allah(SWT) erase her wrongdoings and grant her Aljanat Firdausi.
He also prayed that God Almighty will grant the entire family the fortitude to bear these irreplaceable loss.
