Scores of persons with special needs, including the less privileged, other indigent members of the society and the Kogi State Ministry of Women Affairs have benefitted from the founder of Tazan Foundation as part of activities to mark his birthday celebration.
The foundation which visited the ministry of Women Affairs, was received by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr. Eneyo Joseph Ekele who lauded the group for remembering the ministry in it’s activities.
Mr. Ekele described Tazan, founder of the foundation as a rare gem and a selfless citizen, who has demonstrated uncommon passion for humanitarian services by sharing the joy of his birthday celebration with the needy in the society.
Earlier, Founder of the charity group, Tazan Onimisi reiterated the need for individuals and corporate organizations to donate generously to the destitute, orphanages and dregs of the society to enable them improved their well being.
He noted that the visit has further exposed the level of attention needed by people with special needs and appealed for more assistance by other spirited individuals, corporate bodies and the government towards giving them a new lease of life.
Congratulating Tazan on his birthday, one his close associates, Ambassador Ajibodi Muniru Majeyibo said the foundation was poised to empower people, especially the less privileged in the society.
“The Foundation will remain committed to adding value to the society and I call on other well-meaning individuals to always remember others in need,” he said.
Also, another associate of Tazan Foundation, Amb Abdullahi Sheriff Abukah commended Tazan for his humane disposition to the wellbeing of the most vulnerable persons in the society.
He stated that the foundation since its inception has positively changed the lives of many vulnerable persons within and outside the state, and promised not to rest on its oars.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Yakubu Abu, expressed gratitude for the gifts and other acts of kindness by the foundation, and prayed to God to reward the donor abundantly.
Items distributed include, bags of rice, other consumables and cash donations to the benefiting homes and individuals.
